Free automated WCAG 2.2 A and AA check

See the accessibility barriers an automated scan can already prove.

Honest accessibility scans for small-business websites. You get a plain-English report, a score with the formula printed beside it, and a straight path to a human review when automation is not enough.

  • Built for owners who want a straight answer, not a badge.
  • A scan does not change the site you submit.
  • A perfect automated score is not a conformance claim.

Scan a website

No account required for the summary. A single page usually finishes within a minute.

The demo is a public W3C page built to show barriers. It is not your site.

Why teams start here

A free baseline, then a paid engagement if you want one.

Issues a developer can find today

Missing names, labels, contrast problems, and other barriers axe-core can prove show up with the element that failed and a plain-English fix.

A score you can explain

The automated score is a weighted count of failing checks. We print the formula next to the number so nobody confuses it with a legal pass.

A path past automation

When the free scan is not enough, you can ask for done-for-you fixes, a manual review of agreed templates, or monthly monitoring.

Fixes stay in your code

A scan does not edit the site. The optional visitor script only stores display preferences in that browser. It does not rewrite pages. Lasting fixes belong in your own code, done by your developer or by us if you hire that work.

How it works

Four steps, and the limits stay visible.

  1. 1

    Enter a public address

We accept http and https URLs on the public internet. Private networks and internal addresses are refused.

  2. 2

We open it in a real browser

Playwright loads the page and axe-core runs WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA rules. You can include up to four more pages on the same site.

  3. 3

Read the summary, then the detail

You immediately see the score, severity counts, an automated risk indicator, and the top fixes. The element-by-element list and the PDF wait for an email so we can follow up.

  4. 4

    Decide what to hire

Stop at the free report, or ask us to fix the issues, book a consult, or start a monitoring plan. The form does not charge a card.

What is free, and what you hire us for.

Free automated scan

  • WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA rules via axe-core
  • Score, severity counts, and an automated risk indicator
  • Top five fixes immediately
  • Full element list and PDF after you leave an email

Paid work with a person

  • Manual review of an agreed set of templates
  • Code fixes for a scope we agree in writing
  • Monthly monitoring as a service, not a self-serve switch
  • A written record of what was tested and what was not

Visitor widget

Display options your visitors control.

Site owners add one script tag. Visitors get a button for reading profiles and display adjustments such as text size, contrast, and spacing. Choices stay in that browser. The widget does not rewrite the page, and it does not make a site conform to WCAG or the ADA.

Pricing

Plans you can edit in one config file.

Requesting a plan stores your details so we can reply. This site does not take payment and does not start a subscription on its own.

Questions

Straight answers

Does a high score mean our website meets the ADA?

No. The score only counts automated checks. It is not a legal finding, not a statement that the site conforms to WCAG, and not protection from complaints or lawsuits.

Will this scan keep us out of court?

No. No automated scan can promise that. We will not tell you that a score makes a business safe from legal action. If you need a deeper review, that is a separate, scoped piece of work by a person.

What do you check?

We open the page in a headless Chrome browser and run axe-core with the WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 Level A and AA tags. Optional extra pages stay on the same site, up to five pages in total.

What does an automated scan miss?

Anything that needs human judgment. Examples include whether alternative text is actually accurate, whether the reading order makes sense, whether a custom widget works from the keyboard, and whether captions are correct. People who use assistive technology will find barriers these rules never raise.

What is included in a manual audit?

A person reviews an agreed set of templates or pages and writes up what they find, including issues automation cannot decide. It is still not a government certification, and it does not cover pages outside the agreed set.

Do you put an overlay on our site?

The free scan only reads pages you submit. You can add a separate visitor script for text size, contrast, and similar display preferences. That script does not rewrite your HTML, does not invent alternative text, and does not make the site conform to WCAG or the ADA. Lasting fixes are changes in your own code.

How is the automated score calculated?

It starts at 100. We subtract 8 points for each critical failing element, 4 for serious, 2 for moderate, and 1 for minor, counting at most 5 elements per rule. The lowest score is 0. Checks axe-core could not finish are listed separately and do not change the score.

What happens to my email?

This installation stores leads in a file on the server so the practice can reply. The app does not send email and does not pass the address to an outside marketing tool. Ask the operator how long they keep the file.
